American Guinea Hogs are a heritage breed of swine that traces back to the times of the first colonists in America. Once nearly extinct, the American Guinea Hog Association is working hard to protect and revitalize this breed.
AGHs are a slower growing, lard hog that has excellent foraging capabilities and gentle temperaments. They don’t tear up the ground as commercial breeds often do. All these characteristics combined make them an excellent choice for homestead farms.
We currently have four registered American Guinea Hogs – our boar, Teddy, a sow, Natasha, and two gilts, Nika & Nori. We hope to help in the preservation of this special breed!
